How to get rid of the feeling of comparison
In this world full of a showoff, it is very difficult to get rid of the feeling of comparison. You always look at other’s lives and if you found that someone is living a better life then you, you start comparing yourself with that person. Which is okay, the comparison is not the issue, because the feeling of comparison is the basic human tendency. But this feeling of comparison becomes dangerous when you start over thinking about this gap of your reality and comparison. Most of the time this comparison is at financial level and when you think that someone is more financially strong as compared to you and then this feeling of comparison is to change into jalousie, hate, negativity.
The thing is, you know that the way you do anything in life is wrong, but you are not ready to accept the fact that you are wrong and you start comparing yourself with others. Things are never the same for anyone. Because everyone is doing things in their own way. The condition and the way of doing the same things are not similar to anyone. But the nice thing is you can learn to stop yourself from comparing yourself to others.
The comparison cannot give you success. But if you can take the comparison as positive thoughts you can do a lot of things in your life and achieve success in life. The comparison is of two types –
1. Positive Comparison
For example – when you see someone who is better then you, instead of doing the comparison you can identify the loose points in yourself and improve them(Positive Comparison)
2. Negative Comparison
On another hand, if you see someone have a good lifestyle then you, you feel jealous and you think how he can achieve this kind of lifestyle(Negative comparison).
Overall it is totally depending on you that how you can use this feeling of comparison for benefit of yourself or not.
Here are some tips on how to stop comparing yourself to others — follow them and you’ll be much happier -

When you scroll through Instagram and see that your friend drinking coffee in an attracted cafe and he is on a trip to Paris, or during using Facebook you see that another friend get the second promotion, and then you feel demotivated. This is because you start comparing yourself with your friends. Everyone seems to be doing something with their life at a certain level, and here you feel that you are at the same spot from years. This is a terrible feeling. If you catch yourself beginning to compare yourself to someone else, then you start destroying your life, because it can never take you in a forward direction.
So the simple thing is that instead of comparing yourself with others start focusing on yourself and change your current conditions. Focusing on yourself is the only key to grow in life and also it helps you to improve as a person. By focusing on yourself one day you will reach that point where you want to reach in your life.

I feel that you constantly comparing yourself with others, maybe it is because you don't have goals in your life, which stops you from distraction and keeps you busy achieving them. Think about it once, If your plan is ready to achieve your goals, then you don't feel that you need to compare yourself to other people's successes because you know your success is in your hand and you will definitely achieve it. You just have to keep working toward it.
So keep analyzing that for what you are feeling jealous about. Set up your goals. See others as well but don't compare yourself with them. Keep chasing your goals. One day you will achieve your goals. Remember that the feeling of comparison with others cannot lead you to your success. But at that time you forgot that you didn’t know the complete picture means and you don’t know how that person achieve the success. Because everyone has different circumstances in their life and you don't know about that. So remember “Success is not a fluke”, maybe that person is doing something extraordinary, which you don’t do yet. So before comparison always think about this.
